Helena Orts was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. At an early age, she performed in "The Jungle Book" and "A Mid-Summer's Night Dream." At the age of 8, she started playing basketball at her school team Safa Claror. From there she was signed with Barcelona's most prestigious women's basketball team Femeni Sant Adria in which she play
Helena Orts was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. At an early age, she performed in "The Jungle Book" and "A Mid-Summer's Night Dream." At the age of 8, she started playing basketball at her school team Safa Claror. From there she was signed with Barcelona's most prestigious women's basketball team Femeni Sant Adria in which she played three seasons. During that time, playing as a power forward, Helena and her team obtained two gold medals and a silver medal at the Catalan Championship. Also, a gold, a silver, and a bronze medal at the Spain Championship. In 2012 and 2014 she was named most valuable female player of the Catalan Federation of Basketball.
On top of that the Spain National Team selected her to compete at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in China, obtaining a bronze medal. Also competed in five European Championship U16, U18, and U20, obtaining 4 Gold medals and a Bronze medal among other international competitions.
Helena was awarded an athletic scholarship to study at Fairfield University in Connecticut for two years with a double major in Theatre and French while playing Division I College Basketball. In 2016, Helena transferred to Academy Of Art University in San Francisco where she obtained her BFA in Acting and played Division II basketball.
As a trilingual actress, upon moving to Los Angeles she was cast in short films such as "Split Open" Driver's Tale", "Buscando a Julieta," "Olden Times" and the feature "The Preacher's House" She was the lead talent for international campaigns with brands such as Gatorade, Under Armour, Fila, Nike, Powerade, Deloitte, Oculus and Ally Bank within others.
Helena also performed at The Brisk Theatre Festival for 3 consecutive Editions, in which "23 Turnips", a play she wrote and acted was chosen as one of the favorites by the audience and judges. Summer of 2023 Helena was valued as one of the best actresses for her performance at "The Spark of My Eyes".
Helena made history in the Summer of 2022 as the first female athlete to be Draft pick Number One in the Venice Basketball Coed League. She started working for the Non-Profit "The Hoopbus" in events such as "It's Her Shot' sponsored by Nike and Dick's Sporting Goods.
As she pursues her acting career, she also works as a personal training and Olympic Weightlifting Coach.
